The service and servers are always fantastic whether at the bar or a table. I love that everything is truly vegan. They play music and usually have something engaging on the tv. I didn't think the food was spicy till I had a side of chili oil my last experience and phew. It made everything taste all the more better! That chopped cheese spring roll is a MUST, if you don't get anything, get that. The fries were okay, didn't get a lot of flavour on it. The dan dan noodles are always always super good too and a must have my every visit. The rice cakes are chewy and always on my mind too. Everything here is always good, I've taken several people here just to try vegan food because I know everything will be brought out fresh, hot and nicely.

This place is SO good! I will be returning & service was 10/10!! I'm a vegan and there were so many yummy options for me. Great hangout or date night spot! I went with a friend and we both shared these 2 plates. The appetizer and the entree and it was enough!

Food (4/5): Depending on how big your appetite is, the portions are pretty big & I'd consider them family style. Overall, the dishes were spicy and were comparable to non-vegan Sichuan food! In my party of 4, we ordered 3 items: - Dan Dan Noodles: one of my favorite dishes, though the portions are quite large so it can feel a bit heavy. I loved the peanut taste & thought it was the right amount of spicy! I feel like you could easily split one order amongst a small group. - Spicy Eggplant: tasted divine, especially paired with the spicy mayo. This is generally a safe dish so not much to say, but it was cooked to perfection. - Dry Style Pot: probably my least favorite dish, but that's because I'm not a fan of the numbing, "mala" spice. Wouldn't order it again. Service (4/5): Not much to comment on, but the workers were nice! The restaurant is hectic though, so there was an instance where I asked for additional sauce but they never got back to me with it, but not a big deal. Ambiance (4/5): The West Village location had nice decor & was very spacious compared to one of their other locations. However, my friends & I had to request to sit outside because the music was loud, and quite dark inside, which made it hard to talk to my friends + order. There were dimly lit candles on the tables inside but it was still a bit difficult to read the menu, aside from those gripes, the overall atmosphere was positive, and several groups were enjoying themselves! Final verdict: this is definitely a good szechuan spot for vegans/vegetarians! Though I am a meat eater, I would come back as well.

My friend sent me this restaurant from a Reel on instagram when she was coming to visit NYC so naturally I didn't have high hopes for it but I made a reservation anyway. I was completely wrong in my assumption. Many people balk at the idea of a vegan restaurant, I balked at the idea of an instagram restaurant. Two of our friends was a little late and they wouldn't seat us until the whole party was there. One ended up being way later than expected though so they allowed the three of us to sit down and get started without him. The decor is pretty and makes you feel comfortable. I started with an Ube Mule which was absolutely delicious. I would order the Stir-Fry Chili Glass Noodles with Vegan Beef, Scallion Pancakes, Wontons in Chili Oil again in a heart beat but I must say the star of the show was the STRING BEANS. So much flavor. We also ordered the vegetable lo main and vegan duck wrap, however I'd probably skip those next time. They were good but everything else we ordered was better. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here and will be bringing people back.
